DESIGN WAREHOUSE
Design Warehouse has been a premium manufacturer and seller of high-end outdoor Furniture in New Zealand since the mid-1990s. Teak Furniture, Dining Tables, Relaxing Chairs, Dining Chairs, Deep Seating, Sunbeds, Side Tables, Umbrellas and more. Made from the finest outdoor materials in the world. Outdoor Wicker, A-Grade Teak, Sunbrella, 316 Stainless Steel, Home Decor, Concrete, Batyline Mesh. All imported from the finest European manufactures in Belgium, France, Italy, and Indonesia. Their beautiful furniture can be seen around New Zealand and the Pacific Region.
Their Auckland based warehouse is 7,432 square meters of showroom, putting their beautiful pieces on display and ready for delivery immediately. It was vital that Design Warehouse has content online reflective of this showroom space. The digital to retail representation needed to be seamless. That’s where Asset Factory came in. Our automated Live machine was the perfect solution.
So, how did we do it?
Step 1: All products were unloaded into our studio and tagged with a QR code
Step 2: Camera framings were set up and locked into place for consistency across all future shoots. This included camera angle, tidy and zoom.
Step 3: Lighting was also determined and saved for future reference
Step 4: A product was placed into the machine and centered using the grid lines and live view
Step 5: QR code was scanned for automatic naming and file management on export
Step 6: Capture
It’s that simple! The powerful Canon camera is built into the machine and provides high-quality detail and accurate colour matching. The LED lights enhance the product and can be controlled with the swipe of a finger on the attached iPad. Once the camera framings were determined, there was no set up time required for the remainder of the shoot. Or, any other future shoot we did with the team. The framing is saved and each time a product needed to be captured, we simply brought up that framing and went straight to capture. Another incredible feature of this machine that ensured a seamless workflow for DW was the ability to export at any file size and type. The team received ready-to-upload files within hours of completing a shoot.
